Sometimes people say there is no dutch cuisine. Even dutchies are not overly proud on their imagined food culture. They refer to the era of the ’50 an ’60 where A boiled waxy potato, a dry meatball with gravy and some overcooked veggies were the standard. They are wrong.
There is an century old tradition to implement condiments and spices from the rest of the world. The Dutch are robbing and stealing the best ingredients from the rest of the world already for centuries. The cuisine is openminded for technical innovation and is driven by available resources.
